Computer Classes at the Library this Week
In the ongoing effort to promote lifelong learning, the Library offers a wide variety of free computer classes every month. The following classes are scheduled for this week:
Google Maps on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
Get directions, plot a travel route, and even find a satellite view using Google Maps. This class will cover the basics of using both the Google Maps site and app for navigation. (If you will be using the app, bring your device for the best experience.)
Typing on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
These sessions will provide new typists with beginning instruction, and a refresher for those with rusty typing skills. Correct finger placement and accuracy will be the primary focus. (Limited to 8 participants.)
eBooks: Overdrive on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
Learn how to check out and download thousands of eBooks and Audio Books from the Library’s collection for free. (Bring your device, library card, and Google Play or Appstore username/password with you for checkout.)
A complete listing of monthly computer classes can be found on the Library’s website. Those interested in attending any of the classes may register online or by calling the Library. In addition to these classes, one-on-one computer support is also available by appointment.
