TWEEN DUNGEONS & DRAGONS CLUB
Monday, January 21 • 4:30-7:30 p.m.

The library will host a Dungeons & Dragons club for teens on Monday afternoon from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tweens (ages 9-13) are invited to come play this popular role-playing game in a social group setting. Food, refreshments, and gaming supplies will be provided. No experience is necessary to participate. Players who have their own dice, rulebooks, miniatures, etc., are welcome to bring them. Registration is recommended for participants of this event. (Ages 9-13)

 

KID'S SCIENCE CLUB
Tuesday, January 22 • 4:00 p.m.

Beginning on Tuesday, January 22 at 4:00 p.m., the library will host a science club for children. At each of the four club sessions, participants will perform various winter-themed science experiments. This week they will be making Snowflake Slime and Frosty Magic Milk. Registration is required. (Ages 6-8)

 

TEEN BOOK CLUB
Tuesday, January 22 • 4:00 p.m.

On Tuesday afternoon the library will host a book club for teens. The book selection for this month is Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. Teens interested in participating can pick up a free book at the Circulation Desk. (Ages 13-18)

 

LET IT SNOW CRAFTING
Thursday, January 24 • 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday afternoon the library will host a winter-themed crafting session for teens and tweens. Participants will make a variety of snowflakes using art supplies, including origami paper, clothespins, straws, popsicle sticks, and pipe cleaners. (Ages 9-18)

 

HISTORY CAFÉ: "Vintage Valentines"
Thursday, January 24 • 6:00 p.m.

On Thursday evening the public is invited to look at the DuBois Collection of Valentines. Donated by Kathy Watcher, the collection contains over 60 valentines from 1928-1935. In addition to taking a closer look, those in attendance will be able to make their own vintage-inspired valentines.
