JPL Celebration of Kentucky Writers

The 25th Jeanne Penn Lane "Celebration of Kentucky Writers" will feature writers from many disciplines, all with a Kentucky connection. Authors will be reading from original works, and will hold book signings.

Among the many presenters will be Pulitzer Prize finalist poet Maurice Manning who will be reading from his work and singing. Many of the writers will have their books available for purchase.

Chad Horn will open and close this event. Readers include Ruth Rogers, Doris Settles, Darlene Campbell, Chris Helvey, Virgil Hayes, Ginny Smith, Maurice Manning, Rick Lee, Paul Stansbury, and Jenean McBrearty.

In addition to the event at the Library, there will also be a program beginning at Noon on Sunday at Historic Penn's Store in Gravel Switch, Kentucky featuring music and readings. The Sunday event will feature a music jam, and readings by Joe Crafa, Darlene Campbell, Ryan Sanders, Dan Waters, Maurice Manning, Joseph Camuglia, Tony Cooper, Dino Musso, Jon Nesbitt, and Billy Paul. Chad Horn will open and close this event.
