Viennese Kiss Cookies

Ingredients & Measurements:
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup butter, chilled and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 24 chocolate kisses

 

Instructions:
  1. Heat oven to 350 F
  2. grease two 12 cup miniature muffin pans (1 3/4 in diameter)
  3. In large mixing bowl, combine flour butter and sugar.
  4. beat at medium speed of electric mixer until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. add sour cream and vanilla.
  6. beat at low speed until dough forms
  7. shape dough into 1 inch balls. 
  8. place one ball in each prepared muffin cup. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Immediately press kiss into center of each cookie.
  10. let cool 1 minute before removing from pans.
  11. cool completely before storing.
