Journey through American history in this special program series honoring America250. Each month, kids and teens – along with their caregivers – are encouraged to read a historical fiction book set during a particular time period in our nation’s history. At the end of the month, the whole family is invited to join our book club meeting, where we will discuss the books we’ve read along with historical context provided by the Story Center.
For our November meeting, we will discuss books set in the 1900s, including stories that take place during World War II. Some of our suggested books include:
Changes for Molly: A Winter Story by Valerie Tripp
I Survived the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, 1941 by Lauren Tarshis
My Nest of Silence by Matt Faulkner
