Tweens and teens are invited to try out the art of ceramics at June’s YA Workshop!

Guest artist Joseph Eastham of ARJO Pottery will teach the basics of handbuilding using clay. Learn a variety of skills including additive and subtractive techniques, coil building, and working with molds.

No prior experience working with clay is required!

Register for our four workshop sessions here [available soon]. Participants may sign up for a single workshop or multiple workshops. Registration is limited (max. 12 participants per session), so please sign up early to secure your spot!

June 12:  Clay Heads

  • Create a hollow clay head using pinch pots, then use additive techniques to give your creation a unique, stylized face.

June 19:  Animal Sculptures

  • Use coil-building and additive techniques to create a small figurine based on your favorite animal, monster, or other fantastical creature.

June 26:  Mugs & Teacups

  • Create your own mug or teacup using slabs of clay and mold forms. Add a handle and use stamps and other tools to decorate your vessel.
