YA Workshop: Painting

Tweens and teens are invited to try out the art of painting at July’s YA Workshop!

Guest artist Christina Browning of the Art Center of the Bluegrass will teach the basics of painting on canvas. Learn a variety of painting techniques while working with different media, including watercolor, acrylic, and fluid paint!

No prior experience working with paint is required!

Register for our four workshop sessions here [available soon]. Participants may sign up for a single workshop or multiple workshops. Registration is limited (max. 12 participants per session), so please sign up early to secure your spot!

Sessions

July 10 :  Fluid Paint

• Create abstract flowers and other unique designs by pouring fluid acrylic paint onto a canvas. 

July 17 :  Acrylic

• Use acrylic paint to create dynamic images inspired by the work of contemporary artist Iris Scott.

July 24 :  Watercolor

• Create landscapes inspired by summer sunsets using watercolor paint.

July 31 :  Mixed Media

• Experiment with a variety of media to create animal portraits.
