In the Spotlight

On Saturday, October 5 from 2:00-3:30 PM, come celebrate the newly released Percy Jackson novel with your fellow demigods! The library is partnering with Plaid Elephant Books and Opening Act Theatre to bring this special event. Kate from Plaid Elephant will have a table set-up where guests can purchase the newly released book from the series, along with other mythical books. Watch a performance from Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, presented by Opening Act Theatre. Guests can also make strawberry scented potion, make their own mythical pets, go on a Percy Jackson themed scavenger hunt, and so much more! This event will be held in the Youth Department. Preparing for a new career? Shaylee Reed with the Kentucky Career Center will be available on the second Wednesday of each month from 2:30-4:30 PM in the Map Room to help with resumes, job applications, and interview preparation. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome!
