Our Literacy Bell program publicly recognizes children upon reading their first book independently. If your child has read their first book by themselves within the past year, they are invited to attend a community celebration hosted by the Boyle County Public Library in partnership with the Boyle County Fiscal Court. This fall's event will be Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10-11 AM at Constitution Square. Sign up here.
At the special celebration, children have the honor of ringing the meeting house bell at Constitution Square Historic Site. Children will write their name into the Book of Readers kept in the Children's Library and receive a certificate honoring this momentous occasion.
