Open House at the Library

December 4, 2014

The Boyle County Public Library invites the public to an Open House on Friday, December 5th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the Library. This is an opportunity for library patrons to celebrate another great year at the Library and to honor the Friends of the Library for being awarded the 2014 Outstanding Friends of the Library Chapter. Finger food and refreshments will be served.

The Library serves as an informational hub for the Danville/Boyle County community. It offers numerous services, including computer classes, children's and youth programs, adult programs, and genealogy services. Computers are available on the fifth floor for use by the public, with free Wi-Fi available throughout the Library. Also available are six Early Learning Center computer stations, located in the Children's library, for children ages 3-11.

In addition to the numerous books one would expect to find at a library, many current newspapers and magazines are available, as well as a large collection movies and cds. The Library is also home to the Mahan Gallery, an art gallery located just off the main floor of the Library. It features many art exhibits throughout the year and gives the community another avenue to experience the arts here at home. All library programs, classes, and exhibits are free and open to the public.
