Friends of the Library Program: "Experiences in Ghana"

The Friends of the Library will continue their program series with “Experiences in Ghana” on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Community Room at the Library. Centre College professors Andrea Abrams and Sarah Murray will share an illustrated presentation about their experiences in Ghana. Abrams and Murray have taken groups of Centre students who study the history, culture, and environmental issues of this vibrant African country through a home-stay and teaching in a rural school.

Dr. Abrams is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology.  Her research is on racial and gender issues in the South. Associate Professor of Education Sarah Murray has worked with the Appalachian Mathematics and Science Partnership and taught at secondary and college levels.
