Outreach Event: The Good Wizard Tells a Tale

Good Wizard Tells a Tale Outreach event Oct 11 at 10 AM at Great American Dollhouse Museum picture of bookmobile open book and wizard hatBCPL is partnering with the Great American Dollhouse Museum to present a program that will highlight the Medieval Quest section of the museum.

Longtime Centre College Theatre Professor Patrick Kagan-Moore (as The Wizard) will kick off the event with an interactive reading of the fantasy tale that appears on the walls of the Medieval Quest exhibit. The story tells of Elara, who sets off on a journey from Mummert Castle to Fraewood in an attempt to find her mother.

After the story, guests will be able to visit the bookmobile to discover other stories, visit the Medieval Quest exhibit to see the detailed setting of the story they just heard, and complete a craft and take home a troll like the one featured in the exhibit.

This program is recommended for ages 7 and up. Attendance is limited to 30. Adult supervision is required due to the presence of fragile museum materials. A jacket is recommended since the story and craft will take place outside.
