BCPL is proud to offer the Literacy Bell Program, which applauds children who have read their first book independently. If your child has read their first book by themselves within the past year, they are invited to attend a community celebration hosted by the Boyle County Public Library in partnership with the Boyle County Fiscal Court.
At this special event, children will have the honor of ringing the meetinghouse bell at Constitution Square Historic Site. In addition to ringing the bell, your child will enter their name into the “Book of Readers” and receive a certificate honoring this momentous occasion.
Registration is required for each child participating. Please list only the name of the child who is participating in the ceremony on the registration form. We do not require registration for friends and family members who attend with the child.
